Flies

“Time flies.” but I don’t think so. It doesn’t always go so fast. Instead, I think “time is like a fly.” I’m sure it’d be happy to just sit there and calmly enjoy the day with you, but you just have to keep scaring it off, don’t you?

    Love it! I find time moves more quickly when you’re putting off something your supposed to be doing

    Yes, time flies by fast. Espeically so in the summer here in Michigan.

    For me it always goes way too fast, my days just disappear without doing I hope to do each day. So as far as the FLY is concerned he speeds along like the days do.

    By scaring it off, you mean wasting time, yes i do that I lot and I am left with no time to do any useful things.

  8. Noooo. I wouldn’t want to be a fly. Sometimes passes rather quickly, especially when you end up where a fly swatter is handy.

    “The winds must come from somewhere when they blow,
    There must be reasons why the leaves decay;
    Time will say nothing but I told you so.”

    Yep except you will find that unlike a fly, time gets faster as you age. But then again that’s all in the perception.

    • true. it’s all relative I think. when you’re younger, a day is much longer compared to how long you’ve been alive, but when you’re old, a day can seem very, very short compared to how long you’ve been around.

        It seems to increase exponentially actually – well, to me it does anyway. To me now a year seems like nothing. When I was a kid it was an eternity…

  11. Amusing way to put it, but accurate :)

    • I’m working on a short write now and got side tracked, so I just wrote this down real quicklike.
      “your time is undone”
      “oh. thanks.” *zip*
      clearly, I am drunk with sleeplessness (<–that word has too many of the same letters in it. needs more variety.) [check plus]
      oh gahb. muss bed now
